Future Mars Caravan Features – What Would You Love to See?

Hey legends,

We’re always thinking about what’s next for our vans, and we’d love to bring you into that process. This thread is all about future features you’d like to see in upcoming Mars models.

We can’t promise we’ll be able to build every idea (we still have to watch things like weight, cost and practicality), but your feedback genuinely helps shape what we design next.

💡 How to Share Your Ideas

When you post, it really helps us if you include a few details:

• Van type you have / are interested in: (e.g. 15ft off-road, 17ft family bunk, hybrid, on-road etc.)
• How you travel: (short weekends / big lap / off-grid / caravan parks etc.)
• Feature idea: What’s the feature or upgrade you’d love to see?
• Why it matters: How would it improve your trips, comfort or safety?
• Must-have or nice-to-have? Let us know how important it is for you.

Example:

Van type: 15ft off-road couple’s van  
Travel style: Off-grid weekends, national parks, some corrugations  
Feature idea: Built-in shoe storage near the door  
Why it matters: Keeps dirt out of the van and makes it easier to grab shoes quickly  
Priority: Must-have for us

⚖️ A Quick Note About Weight & Practicality

Every extra feature adds something to your towing weight, setup complexity, and cost – so we’re always balancing:

• Weight: Staying within safe and legal limits for towing
• Durability: It has to survive Aussie roads, not just look good in the showroom
• Simplicity: The more complex the system, the more maintenance it usually needs

So as you share ideas, feel free to tell us if you’d be happy to trade something off (for example less storage for a bigger bathroom, or fewer bells and whistles for a lighter, more “back-to-basics” van).
