Front Fridge Slide – Basic Operation

Front Fridge Slide – Basic Operation

Your Mars van may be fitted with a front fridge slide area designed to make it easy to carry and power an external fridge or cooler.

Sliding the Fridge Tray Out

  1. Locate the fridge slide at the front of the van.
  2. Push the release bar before pulling the slide out.
  3. Once the bar is pressed, pull the slide out smoothly.

Important: Always push the release bar before pulling the fridge slide out. This helps the slide operate properly and helps prevent it from derailing.

Sliding the Tray Back In

  1. Make sure the slide path is clear.
  2. Push the fridge slide back in evenly and firmly.
  3. Check that it is fully closed and secure before travelling.

Ventilation Fan

The fridge slide area is fitted with a ventilation fan to help with airflow around your external fridge.

  • Use the fan switch to turn the ventilator fan on when needed.
  • This can help improve airflow and assist fridge performance, especially in warmer conditions.

Light Switch

The fridge slide compartment also includes a light for visibility in low light conditions.

  • Use the light switch to turn the compartment light on or off as needed.

Drawer Space and Power Connections

The front fridge slide area also includes pull-out drawer space for your external fridge setup and storage needs.

You will also find three charging or power connection options in this area:

  • 12V outlet
  • Anderson plug connection
  • 240V outlet

These give you flexible options depending on the type of fridge or appliance you are using.

Important Notes

  • Always make sure the fridge slide is fully closed before travelling.
  • Do not force the slide open or closed.
  • Use the correct power source for your fridge or appliance.
  • Turn the ventilator fan on when extra airflow is needed.
  • Keep the slide area clean and free from loose items that could obstruct movement.

Helpful Tip

If you are running an external fridge in warm weather, using the ventilation fan can help with airflow and improve overall fridge performance.
